Coke advertisements to emphasize responsibility

Coca-Cola will bolster its “green” credentials with a pending $10 million advertising campaign designed to paint the beverage industry behemoth as a corporate good-guy, Advertising Age reported.

Age reported that Coke’s marketing effort will extend beyond the company’s environmental responsibility efforts and include chatter about Coke’s community investments.

One advertisement, Age reported, will inform consumers that if they’ve bought a coke in the last 20 years, they’ve helped students pay for college through Coke’s scholarship programs.

Other advertisements will hype the many ways to consume Coke – including the old glass bottles, plastic bottles, new aluminum bottles, 100-calorie cans, and, of course, Diet Coke.
