Clearly Canadian’s earnings up, bev revenue down

Iconic Canadian beverage company Clearly Canadian reported that they more than tripled revenues in the 4th quarter of 2007, but those revenues were based on two food-related acquisitions while beverage revenues dropped 25 percent.

Despite the mixed news, chairman Bobby Genovese said he was pleased that the company’s revenues had increased for the first time in the decade, Beverage Business INSIGHTS reported, and promised big things on the beverage front in the near future.

BBI reported that the company will launch their new beverage plan at the end of April, and Genovese said the company is now “well-positioned to significantly increase revenues in 2008 and beyond.”
