FINANCIALS
Bebida Beverage Company announced that the company has entered into discussions regarding a potential partnership affiliation for increased spring water source and bottling capacity. Additionally, the company formally announced that the company is now listed under the new trading symbol BBDA. Danisco signed a long term cooperation agreement with UK-based Coressence Limited to gain exclusive rights for certain apple-based ingredients, to be marketed under the brand name Evesse, that contain polyphenols. In addition to antioxidant activity, this fruit extract promotes benefits relating particularly to cardiovascular health, but potentially also to other health areas. United Natural Foods, Inc. announced plans to relocate its corporate headquarters in May 2009 from Dayville, Connecticut to Providence, Rhode Island. UNFI will combine executive and administrative offices by relocating approximately 150 employees to the American Locomotive Works development on Valley Street. UNFI will continue to maintain its presence in Dayville, where its distribution facility will remain its third largest facility on the East Coast and the sixth largest in the United States.


LAW AND POLICY
A non-profit called the Environmental Working Group filed suit against Wal-Mart after the retailer's "Sam's Choice" bottled water exceeded California toxicity guidelines. The International Bottled Water Association pre-empted preempted the report’s release and declaring the group’s tactics “alarmist,” and the Competitive Enterprise Institute followed up this week with an online petition at enjoybottledwater.org.

PEOPLE
The Board of Directors of The Coca-Cola Company elected Maria Elena Lagomasino as a Director of the Company. Ms. Lagomasino is chief executive officer of GenSpring Family Offices, one of the nation's premier wealth management firms. As part of her election, Ms. Lagomasino will serve on the Company's Committee on Directors and Corporate Governance and Compensation Committee. She previously served as a Director of the Company from 2003 to 2006. The board also elected Clyde Tuggle as a senior vice president of the Company. Mr. Tuggle leads the Company's productivity efforts and oversees the Company's Public Affairs and Communications and Strategic Security and Aviation functions. Prior to this newly created role, Mr. Tuggle served as president of the Russia, Ukraine and Belarus Business Unit. One Natural Experience (O.N.E.) announced two new appointments in their Los Angeles-based corporate offices during Expo East in Boston this week. Ike Gill joins the company as Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Gill was previously the COO at Penta Water. John Moffitt joins O.N.E. as Vice President of Sales. Before joining O.N.E., Mr. Moffitt was Senior Vice President DSD Sales & Operations at Naked Juice. Sensient Technologies Corporation announced that Robert J. Edmonds, President and Chief Operating Officer, has been elected to the Board of Directors. Mr. Edmonds joined Sensient in 2005 as General Manager of Sensient Food Colors -- North America. He was elected President and Chief Operating Officer of Sensient Technologies Corporation in August 2007.

MISCELLANEOUS
The DiSTI Corporation announced the availability of dBeer for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The dBeer application fills the screen with a synthetic beverage complete with rising bubbles and a foamy head that oscillates when the device shakes. To enjoy, simply tap the screen to fill, pour, and repeat. Users can choose from a selection of glass logos and beverage choices including light beer, dark beer, and an extreme green soda. NEW SKUs
Inko’s LLC announced the availability of three, 64-ounce multi-serve versions in three of White Peach, Blueberry and Unsweetened Mint. DC Morgan (Custom Label Bottled Water) Company is now making their signature "Change Water" available for distributors and retailers. The 16.9 ounce bottle displays the "Change We Can Believe In" quote. AQUAMANTRA, unveiled a new SKU, "I AM GRATEFUL."


DISTRIBUTION
Skinny Nutritional Corp. announced the company has entered an agreement with Briars USA, a non-alcoholic subsidiary for Anheuser Busch distributor High Grade Beverage (New Brunswick, N.J.). Briars covers the central and northwest New Jersey region including Middlesex, Morris, Sussex, Union, Summerset, Warren, Passaic and Hunterdon counties. The Coca-Cola Co. and Sun Capital Partners Inc. signeda deal that puts Coca-Cola drinks in 1,750 restaurants in 28 states. Sun Capital owns several restaurant chains including Boston Market, Bruegger’s Bagels and Friendly Ice Cream Corp. Beverage Innovations, Inc.announced the availability Venga functional infusions in Chicago. The company signed several distribution agreements to make Venga available to consumers through Chicagoland Beverages and Kehe Foods. Venga will be available at gourmet and specialty food retailers as well as 80 select Jewel Food Company stores. After using Pepsi products for 10 years, Jacksonville-based Firehouse Restaurant Group Inc. signed a multi-year beverage contract with the Coca-Cola Co., and will use Coca-Cola’s cherry syrup for a cherry limeade that is available only in Northeast Florida. The conversion to Coca-Cola products at all 340 Firehouse locations was expected to be complete by Oct. 10. The bottled beverages are expected to be available by late November. CirTran Corporation signed an international distribution agreement for Playboy energy drinks, giving rights in Mexico to Factor Tequila SA de CV. The agreement gives Factor Tequila exclusive rights to distribute Playboy Energy Drink in Mexico. The agreement includes a sales quota schedule totaling $480 million over the agreement's 10-year period. Celsius Holdings, Inc. announced Celsius is now available in over 264 Walgreens stores in New England. Medivisor, Inc. entered into an agreement with Stack-It Distributors, Inc. for the distribution of Maximum Energy Shot. Stack-It Distributors Inc. is to provide minimum orders of $500,000 for an annually renewable contract.

BAWLS teamed up with ComicsPRO as the official energy drink of the 24-Hour Comics Day. More than 12,000 comic artists worldwide gathered on October 18 at 50 different host cities to produce a complete 24-page comic book in one day. BAWLS Guarana will drop in on the 2008 Paintball Sports Promotions (PSP) World Cup at Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando. The best in paintball will rally at the Wide World of Sports from October 22-26 for four days of non-stop competition to capture the 2008 PSP Championship Title.
