Maine Root will launch three new flavors in May, and introduce the brand’s entire six-flavor line as Fair Trade Certified.
@@img Mark and Matthew Seiler – co-owners of Maine Root – introduced Fair Trade root beer last year in a 22 oz. glass bottle with a Fair Trade logo. The Sielers said in a press release that, due to “overwhelming demand,” the company transitioned its entire brand to Fair Trade certification – including it’s three new flavors, Mandarin Orange Soda, Lemon Lime Soda and Blueberry Soda.
Fair Trade ensures that family farmers receive a fair price for their top quality products, the release said, and because Fair Trade farmers are careful stewards of the land, their products are the healthiest and most environmentally-friendly available.
