Venom Introduces New Re-sealable Aluminum Bottle

PLANO, Texas, June 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dr Pepper Snapple Group introduces Venom, an energy drink for those wanting to experience thrill seeking adventures. Available in Black Mamba, regular, and Mojave Rattler, low-carbohydrate/calorie, Venom provides the bite that hard-core energy drink fans demand.

"Venom will accelerate Dr Pepper Snapple's entry into the fast growing energy drink market by delivering a jolt of energy in new killer packaging," said Charlotte Dimery, director of marketing for Venom. "Its piercing energy that strikes back in a new re-sealable bottle delivers something new and functional in the competitive energy landscape."

Venom's 16.9 ounce re-sealable aluminum bottle allows consumers to enjoy the product during multiple occasions, unlike most energy drinks in cans.

The Venom energy blend contains caffeine, l-carnitine, guarana, ginseng and taurine, the hard-core ingredients that consumers are looking for in their energy drink.

Venom Black Mamba and Mojave Rattler will be available at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $2.29.

Didn't Snapple make Venom 6 years ago in a yellow can? Didn't it suck back then? Did they fix it for this great looking package or does this one suck too?

Excellent drink....
Drank 3 so far in 1 week, super kick, after I drank a full one I realized after reading the can it was not intended to drink all at once. I started looking on the web and sure enough even the press kits talk up the "multiple occasion" aspect of the re-sealable aluminum can, however I found the cap to be more then a little loose to really call it re-sealable. Maybe they will correct this as production moves along.

I will drink it, in one sitting though regardless of the 6000+mg of Energy Blend you get in one can , taste is awesome, nice subdued tartiness to the flavor without the dry yuck taste afterwards.

For sure this is my new energy drink of the choice the Black Mamba.

I should also add that I am a brand loyalist to Dr Pepper, its my soft drink of choice so I was pleasantly shocked to see that Venom is actually a product of the Dr Pepper Company.

I bought the first one off the shelf just because of the killer can design... lol

I would recommend it and will drink this over my other previous energy drink favorites.

Ok so here's the scoop. Venom Energy Black Mamba is the best thing on the market as of now. I can say this with a lot of confidence. I love energy drinks. I treat them as some would treat fine wine. I consider myself quite the connoisseur when it comes to these potent beverages. I have tried them all, and I mean all of them. That's why I came across this little beauty. I was in Quik Trip and saw it sitting in the case. I said to myself, "Gee, this is new." I bought it and sure enough, it is the most delicious concoction I've ever had. I would describe it as being a bit like Cheerwine's Savage energy drink, only less sweet with less of an aftertaste. Not quite as much of a bite as Monster, and much more refreshing. The best part is the kick. This thing hit's like a truck without crashing. My only complaint is it has a fairly high sugar content, but the sugar-free version is just as tasty. I hope these things hit the market in full swing soon, and I wouldn't mind being able to order cases online either. Good job Dr. Pepper.

Thank God! I can not stand all the other energy drinks and frankly I'm tired of little tiny doubleshots. Venom was my original favorite and I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Bring it!

Right now I'm drinking my first one and it's really great. Good taste.

One question I have though, can the bottle be reused? It seems like it could be reused because of the thickness of the bottle. Thanks.

The great can was attractive, but I really wanted to try it because it has a double dose of daily recommended Ginseng Extract (200mg x2).

This is good stuff, tastes much better than Monster (which I hate), and the good stuff inside this separates it from Red Bull (even though they taste very similar).
