PEOPLE
Muhtar Kent will take over the reigns as Coca-Cola’s CEO July 1, and the Atlanta Journal Constitution profiled the will-be chief this weekend. Read the piece here. Boo Koo Holdings appointed Jack Belsito, formerly president of Snapple Distributors, Inc. as chairman. In addition, Mr. Belsito will assume the CEO's position during the 2008 fourth quarter. Joe Bayern, formerly chief strategy officer of Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages and currently a consultant to Boo Koo, will become the company's president in September. Mr. Belsito replaces the recently-appointed Gil Cassagne as chairman. Mr. Cassagne will remain a director.

DISTRIBUTION
Rhode Island based Swing Juice Hybrid Energy Drink and Williams Distributing of Chicopee, Ma have reached a distribution agreement for Western Massachusetts' Hampshire and Hampden Counties. • A Coca-Cola bottling line in Merdian Mississippi closed, with company president Hardy Graham citing rising costs. Click here for more coverage. * HAVOC Distribution, a subsidiary of American Enterprise Development Corp., announced today that they received their largest single purchase order for HAVOC Energy Drink to date. Skylarhaley will distribute essn Energy to Select Costco locations throughout Texas. Rudy Nutrition, Inc. announced the addition of Corner Wholesale, Inc. to their national team of sales representatives and distributors. Turkey Hill Dairy iced teas are moving into 13 new southern and western states after a series of recently finalized distribution deals. The deals include more than 350 Kroger stores across Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky, more than 300 Loaf ‘N Jug and Kwik Shop convenience stores and 248 Dillons and King Soopers grocery stores in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska. TrimWater announced a partnership with women's fitness industry leader Lucille Roberts. TrimWater is now available at ten Lucille Roberts gym locations in New York City and Long Island, with more to come.

In honor of the Summer Solstice, Barrow, Ark. will be renamed Jolt, as officially decreed by Mayor Michael Stotts and Jolt Energy Drinks. The town is the northernmost settlement in the U.S. and will experience 24 hours straight of daylight. With all this sunshine, people will be working longer, playing harder and in need of an Energy boost from Jolt. * Hat Trick Beverages opened a showroom in Toronto. O.N.E. Coconut Water will be the canvas for Romero Britto's work throughout the summer, with a portion of sales supporting Brazilian water projects. The Gatorade Company, in partnership with RISE Magazine, announced senior middle distance runner Chanelle Price of Easton Area High School (Easton, Pa.) as its 2007-08 Gatorade National Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year. Nestle Waters North America donated 244,344 half-liter and one-liter bottles of Nestle Pure Life and Ice Mountain Natural Spring Water during the past week to citizens and disaster relief workers in flood-stricken areas of Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin. Ardea Beverage Company, the makers of Nutrisoda, kicked off the Fit for Paradise Sweepstakes. Consumers will be able to enter to win a Hawaiian getaway or a pair of stylish Chaco Flips wherever Nutrisoda bottles are sold.
