Anheuser-Busch Goes Down 9th Street
Anheuser-Busch said Tuesday that it created a subsidiary
called 9th Street Beverage LLC to handle its energy drinks, high end
waters and other non-alcoholic beverages, Reuters
reported.
AB’s non-alcoholic beverage portfolio currently includes 180
Energy, BORBA Skin Balance Water, Icelandic Glacial water and Monster Energy.
The company told Reuters that it
plans to expand its non-alcoholic beverage business. The move will help boost
the company’s stagnating revenues in the face of consumers increasingly turning
toward craft beers and wine.
The American brewer in July accepted a $52 billion takeover
bid from Belgian-owned InBev that will create the world’s largest beer maker.
