KRONIK ENERGY: New Owners, New Plans

n the summer of 2009, creditors put the company that bottles, and distributes the KRONIK ENERGY brand, into foreclosure. By September of that same year, the rights to the brand were acquired by a group of private investors who intend to resurrect the storied label. They were looking for a “turn-around” opportunity and “this seemed like perfect fit,” says Ben Gregg, CEO of KroniCo. The new owners come from the personal service industry, and have a unique appreciation for what they call “human capital.” “We can’t emphasize enough, the importance of maintaining healthy relationships with our customers,” Says John Gaston, President of KroniCo. “We intend to apply those same basic principals to the beverage business.” It was that same “service based” approach that elevated them to the top of their previous industry. “It is critical to maintain a careful balance between sales, and service” says Gregg, “every time we partner with a new vendor, distributor or retailer, we firmly believe that it is only the beginning of a lasting and mutually prosperous relationship.”

Kronik Energy was already available in select retailers nationwide, but the new owners are looking to expand its distribution. The plan is to partner with DSD’s (Direct Store Delivery). “We are looking to build strong relationships, with the right companies throughout the beverage business” Says, Ben Gregg CEO of KroniCo, LLC. He goes on to say, “We are currently in negotiations with several major distributors, and look forward to some exciting press releases in the near future”.

To help support their distributors and retailers, Kronik Energy is lining up some pretty impressive brand support. They have already made deals with several individuals who compete in various motor-sports disciplines. In addition they will be the title sponsors at several large racing events in the upcoming months. They have also signed on to be the Official Energy Drink of USA Raceway Park, a ½ mile dirt oval racetrack in Tucson, AZ. Probably most impressive, is a deal with Mind in Motion Entertainment. A Phoenix based Production Company that has several large-scale movie projects in the works. The deal gets Kronik Energy product placement in each of the studio’s films. The first of which (Little Murder) is set for theatrical release in early 2010 and stars Josh Lucas and Oscar Nominee, Terrence Howard. “We have several exciting announcements to make in the upcoming months,” says, John Gaston, President of KroniCo, LLC. “We are always looking for new ways to support our retailers.”

Kronik Energy produces a range of delicious tasting and highly effective energy drinks. Flavors include “Blue Citrus”, “Vintage”(traditional energy flavor), Entourage”(juice based) and “Dragon Berry”. Each drink includes “top tier” ingredients that guarantee an unrelenting surge of energy. For the calorie conscious consumer, each flavor is available in a “Low-Carb” version. These also include additional supplements that help boost metabolism, and curb hunger. These “Thermal Energy” drinks are sweetened with genuine Splenda? brand sucralose. This means a stable product, with consistent taste and no bitterness.

It is easy to see that Kronik Energy is serious about making a comeback, and if the new management team has anything to say about it, you will soon be seeing a lot more of them. So when you see them in the cooler, pick up a can, it just may be your new favorite Energy Drink.
