Executives from the food, beverage and dietary supplement industries will convene at The Venetian & Sands Expo in Las Vegas this week for the SupplySide West Show. The show begins on Wednesday the 11th and is expected to draw over 8,000 participants. The exhibit hall is open from 10am-5pm on Thursday and Friday Nov. 12 and 13, featuring over 1,100 booths.
Energy shots are the focus of a pre-conference workshop scheduled for Wednesday from 8:30-11:30am. The workshop includes the following talks: “Energy Shots: A Review of the Activity and Relative Safety of Their Ingredients,” “Fighting Consumer Fatigue: Energizing Foods, Beverages and Supplements to the Rescue,” “A Regulatory Overview of Energy Shots and Beverages in the U.S. and Europe”.
Other beverage-related workshops include: “Stevia: Trends, Product Development and Regulatory Update” and “Probiotics: Market Opportunities and Consumer Trends,” both taking place on Saturday Nov. 14 from 8:30-11:30am.
