Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America and AMP Energy Team Up on National Promotion

PURCHASE, N.Y.- April 21, 2009- The Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America (BPAA) and AMP Energy are partnering on a national scratch-off game promotion, Bowling Gives You the Chance to Drop the Flag for Dale Jr. The grand prize winner will receive a trip for four to attend the AMP Energy 500 scheduled to be held at Talladega Superspeedway(r) on November 1, 2009 and the opportunity to wave the green flag for Dale Earnhardt Jr. during the qualifying lap. Scratch-off cards are available with the purchase of any 16 oz AMP Energy at participating bowling centers nationwide.



“The Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America and its member centers have been great partners for over twenty-five years,” said Margery Schelling, chief marketing officer, PepsiCo Foodservice. “We’re pleased to team up with them to offer unique experiences and exclusive prizes for bowling and racing fans alike.”



In addition to the experiential prize of waving the flag at the AMP 500, other prizes in the promotion include custom AMP Energy bowling balls, bowling shirts, bowling pins and items autographed by Dale Jr.



Beginning on April 22, the promotion will be supported by TV ads that will air on ESPN during the PBA King of Bowling Championship, powered by AMP Energy. In addition to a print ad campaign in bowling journals and an e-mail blast to consumers, signage will be on display at participating bowling centers.

The Bowling Gives You the Chance to Drop the Flag for Dale Jr. promotion began on April 20 and continues through May 30, 2009.
