tlanta, Ga. (April 2010) – Whynatte Latte Enterprises, the maker of Whynatte Latte, an 8 oz 100 calorie coffee plus energy beverage, announced today that John K. Sheppard has accepted an invitation to serve on Whynatte Latte’s Board of Directors and invest in the company. Sheppard was previously the President of Coca-Cola’s European Division as well as CEO of the Cott Corporation, the world’s largest private label carbonated soft drink manufacturer.

“We are honored that John has agreed to invest in Whynatte and join our Board of Directors” said Jesse K. Altman, Whynatte’s CEO. “John not only brings a wealth of experience having been CEO of a billion dollar beverage company, but he also understands how to grow a young company successfully into a highly respected national brand. He will be instrumental to Whynatte as we redefine the ready-to-drink coffee market. We feel very fortunate to have such a qualified and engaging person as a director.”

“I have spent over 25 years in the beverage industry and have had the opportunity to work with a number of promising brands. I have also been fortunate to be able to work with some great companies and to evaluate many exciting emerging beverage growth categories. Rarely, however, have I seen a beverage company like Whynatte Latte with all of the key qualifications (great product, unique taste, overwhelmingly strong consumer reaction, great leadership). My decision to join the Board of Directors was based on my ability to add value to an exciting company that I believe has enormous growth potential. I look forward to working with Jesse and the rest of the Board as we lead Whynatte Latte to its next stage of growth”, states Sheppard.

Sheppard joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1981. During his 19 year tenure, Sheppard was the Director of Business Development, CFO of Coca-Cola Africa, President and Managing Director for Poland and President of the Central European Division. Ultimately, Sheppard was appointed the President of Coca-Cola’s European Division where he was fully responsible for a $2 billion operating unit comprised of 15 European countries, including long-range strategic planning, product management/development and marketing/strategic customer relationships. Following his success at The Coca-Cola Company, Sheppard became the CEO of Cott Corporation, a $1.8 billion corporation that is the world’s largest private label carbonated soft drink manufacturer.

Sheppard is currently working as an Operating Partner with a large private equity firm and also sits on the Board of Directors for a number of beverage companies. Sheppard holds both an MBA in finance and a BBA in marketing from the University of Georgia, and resides in Tampa, Florida.
