New Leaf Tea COO Bill Sipper has departed the company after nearly a year on the job.
“I remain a stockholder and I hope they do well,” Sipper said.
New Leaf CEO Eric Skae did not comment on Sipper’s departure.
Sipper, a veteran of several beverage companies and the founder of Cascadia Consulting Group, joined the publicly-traded New Leaf last January as it began to increase its presence in DSD houses nationwide. While the company has grown behind a new line of all-natural lemonades as well as its tea lines, it has also struggled to find consistent financing to maintain its pace of growth and had even pulled back in some markets in recent months.
As part of its West Coast expansion plans, New Leaf had been one of the first companies to start working with the Coast Brands Group, an arrangement that remains in place.
