Big Red Links Up with PBV in Carolinas

Here’s a win for former Red Bull honcho-turned Big Red owner Gary Smith, who managed to get Big Red into Pepsi Bottling Ventures’ North Carolina markets starting in July.

Big Red, currently celebrating its 75th anniversary, is best known in Texas.

Austin, TX (August 21, 2012) – Big Red, Inc., America’s original and #1 selling red soda, announced that it has reached a distribution agreement with largest privately-held bottler for Pepsi-Cola products in North America, Pepsi Bottling Ventures (PBV).

Big Red, created in 1937 and currently celebrating their 75th Anniversary, is continuously developing in popularity and PBV has partnered to expand that reach.

In July 2012, Pepsi Bottling Ventures started selling Big Red and Big Blue Take Home packages (12oz Cans and 2 Liter PET bottles) in its North Carolina markets.  Walmart, Kroger, Lowes Foods, Dollar General are among some of the retail outlets selling Big Red and Big Blue.
