Dominion Root Beer Featured in People Magazine

Dover, DE – Dominion Brewing’s Root Beer recently appeared in People Magazine’s article “Cheers! Cocktail Recipes for Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.”

The publication shared drink recipes perfected by the Washington, D.C. Topaz Bar, in recognition of the upcoming election. As an irreverent nod to Romney’s Mormon background, Dominion’s caffeine-free Root Beer featured prominently as the root beer of choice in the Romney Float.

In response to the People article, the Dominion Brewing Company hand-delivered two cases of Root Beer to GOP headquarters in Washington, D.C., addressed to Gov. Romney.  In the event Romney wins the election, the brewery hopes this will persuade him to replace the soda in the White House soda fountain, installed by Lyndon Johnson, with Dominion Root Beer.

Dominion Root Beer was recently imbibed by an American gold medalist at the 2012 London Olympics. Created from an original American recipe procured from the Library of Congress, it is caffeine-free and does not contain high fructose corn syrup.  Root Beer is a member of the Dominion soft drink portfolio, along with Ginger Ale, Black Cherry, and Creamy Orange soda.
