SAN DIEGO, OCT. 4, 2012 – Hot-Can, manufacturer of revolutionary self-heating packaging for the global beverage market is bringing a full range of choices to the convenience store.
The flavor lineup includes: Café Mocha, Café Latte, Hot Cocoa, Hot Tea and Mushroom, Asparagus, Tomato and newly-introduced Chicken soup.
“Taste has always been important in choosing hot beverages and soups,” says Jim Scudder, Hot-Can’s President & CEO. “Today, we’re seeing convenience as an important partner in this choice, so one isn’t sacrificed for the other. It’s not just road warriors but also outdoorsmen, skiers and snowboarders and parents on the sidelines of their kids’ soccer games.”
All of the beverages and soups are packaged in a self-heating, take anywhere container. The consumer activates the heating process by pushing the button at the bottom of the container. After gently shaking for 30 seconds, turn the can upright, wait three minutes and – after seeing the indicator turn from black to green – open and enjoy.
“Hot-Can has been more widely available online than at retail,” adds Scudder. “By expanding the distribution via C-stores, we’re adding another level of convenience to the mix.”
