NEW YORK, Oct. 9 – – John Stevenson has been appointed Director of Account Development, Northeast USA for NY2O LLC, it was announced today by Elias Slubski, President of New Dutch Water Corp.
NY2O is an American entry into the premium bottled water category, currently dominated by imports. It provides knowledgeable bottled water consumers with an American premium alternative that delivers the unmistakable taste of New York City’s original water, famed for its quality around the world. NY2O delivers this experience to selected markets in the Americas and eventually beyond.
In his new position, Stevenson will be responsible for building the NY2O on-premise market in the northeastern states as well as strengthening sales efforts in the greater New York City region. His portfolio will consist of establishing NY2O in supermarket, convenience store and drugstore chains.
“John Stevenson has a relevant and timely background to match our needs to sell NY2O into the wide range of retail establishments. He has been a founding partner and principal of five different entrepreneurial ventures over the last three decades and in all cases, he was a lead management sales person,” said Slubski. “While he is new to the beverage category, he has an exceptional history in selling and marketing communications, and we are very pleased that he is joining NY2O in such a crucial stage of our development.”
Prior to joining NY2O, from 2010 to the present, Stevenson worked as Director of Business Development for Incentive Targeting, Inc., Cambridge, Massachusetts. There he spearheaded the introduction of the company’s unique analytical services to supermarkets and their consumer package good vendors.
From 2002 to 2009, he worked as senior vice president for SignStorey (now CBS Outernet), a company that originally launched an in-store marketing network that specialized in customized, closed-circuit satellite delivery of focused content and advertising. SignStorey was bought by CBS in 2007.
And previously, he worked at a variety of companies that provided specialized marketing services and customized communications for the supermarket industry.
He graduated in 1971 with a BA degree in history from Trinity College, Hartford, Ct. He was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and now resides in New Canaan, Ct. He enjoys movies, reading and sports, and has three grown sons.
