XingTea Blueberry Takes First Place in North American Tea Championship

New Age Beverage’s XingTea Blueberry took the top spot in the Ready-to-Drink Flavored Green category at the North American Tea Championship. The beverage was judged along with 250 other iced teas, each of which was placed within 20 separate sub-categories. According to World Tea Media, which hosts the annual championship, the judging panel was comprised of professional “cuppers” who assessed the quality of each submission in a blind analysis. Judges examined a tea’s flavor, body, color, clarity, and balance, and the ratings of each characteristic were used to calculate an overall score on a 100-point scale.

XingTea Blueberry was given a score of 85 and beat out several other RTD flavored green teas including ITO EN‘s TEAS’ TEA Half & Half Green Apple, which came in second place and received a score of 84, as well as third place winner Starbucks’ TAZO Organic Iced Green Green Tea with Spearmint & Lemongrass which had a score of 83.
