A historical mile marker for the company, this introduction is the first non-CSD brand introduction in the company’s 90 + year history and is the first of three new product lines to hit store shelves this year.
QUAD Energy was developed over the course of the last year to fill a consumer need for a high-quality, low-cost alternative in the growing energy drink category. With a suggested retail price of $0.99 for a 16 fl. ounce can, QUAD Energy offers consumers an attractive alternative to high-priced energy drinks, while providing the superior quality consumers have come to expect from The Double Cola Company. The unique flavors of QUAD Energy are an added benefit to the functional energy drink, according to Double Cola. Re-Charge and its low-carb counterpart, Low Carb Kick, incorporate a traditional energy drink fantasy fruit flavor, while the other brands feature unique flavors designed to appeal to the brand’s target market, males 18-34. Berry Fusion takes on a bold, tart mixed berry flavor; Lime Craze boasts a unique lime sherbet flavor; and Orange Twist’s orange favor is infused with a hint of tangerine. Consumers can enjoy the energy drink without experiencing a prominent vitamin taste.

After undergoing plenty of market research and name generation for months, the brand name “QUAD Energy” was confidently selected. Consumers and industry professionals like the name for being “short,” “cool” and “memorable.”
The product line will be distributed via the company’s current DSD network, as well as through new distribution partnerships.
