POPwater Teams Up with AMP Radio 97.1FM and Announces BevMo! Partnership

Los Angeles, CA (AUGUST 16, 2013) – POPwater, the healthier alternative to soda from Troy Carter and Atom Factory, has announced a partnership with Los Angeles radio station AMP 97.1FM. The beverage brand with music built into its DNA is sponsoring the station’s upcoming Summer Pool Fiesta at the Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas, featuring Robin Thicke, Jason Derulo and Sammy Adams.

“An LA-‐based radio station like AMP Radio is the perfect fit for POPwater,” said Carter. “Our roots are in music, and we’ve focused on the LA market for the brand’s launch. It was important to establish a multidimensional partnership where we could reach consumers both on-‐air and on the ground through targeted event integrations. We’re all amped to head to Vegas for the SPF Festival.”

Beginning August 19th, AMP 97.1 will launch a series of radio spots to promote POPwater’s availability in Los Angeles BevMo! locations. POPwater will be supporting the on-‐air placements with in-‐store samplings at 44 local BevMo! locations.

“We are excited about our new relationship with BevMo! and the support the national retailer will bring to our undertaking to give Los Angeles consumers a healthier alternative to soda,” Carter continued.

POPwater launched earlier this year when Carter wanted to introduce a healthier beverage that tasted great and wasn’t filled with artificial ingredients. The brand’s “First Taste” to the public has included an opening reception in Los Angeles with VICE as well as campaign appearances by various recording artists. POPwater has been hitting the streets this summer, staging pop-‐up pool parties and bringing their unique brand of flavor to Los Angeles. Creative Director Terry Richardson’s raw and authentic vision is fused into the brand.

POPwater has only 30 calories, 7 grams of sugar and just the right amount of POP.
