CINCINNATI — For the first time since Sunny Delight Beverages Co. (SDBC) acquired Veryfine juices from Kraft Foods Inc. in 2007, Veryfine is launching its first new brand line called CHILL. Pre-priced at only $1.00, CHILL is available in convenience stores nationally in 23 oz cans and in four flavors. In addition to new CHILL, Veryfine’s existing 16 oz line-up is now available in convenience stores nationally in four additional flavors. These products are being sold regionally through SDBC’s growing direct-store-delivery (DSD) system.
CHILL contains only 100 calories per can, 100% of the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) of vitamin C and is available in four flavors: Orangeade, Fruit Punch, Berry Lemonade and Strawberry Kiwi. Veryfine’s new 16oz flavors, chosen based on consumer research, include Strawberry Kiwi, Pomegranate Blueberry, Mixed Berry and Ruby Red Grapefruit. These new flavors broaden the current line-up of Apple, Cranberry, Grape, Fruit Punch and Orange Juice.
“Veryfine CHILL allows you to have fun in the moment,” said Ed Klene, Veryfine Associate Marketing Director. “Our company has always been committed to offering beverage solutions for all of our consumer’s needs. Chill responds to the need for a refreshing fruit drink in a large size at the $1.00 price point.”
CHILL and the new 16oz flavors target 18-34 year old men who shop at convenience stores. The target c-store consumer is always on the go. To help introduce the brand to consumers, CHILL is offering a Cold Cash summer sweepstakes giving away more than $7,000 in hard cold cash. The way to enter is through www.Veryfine.com, one entry per day. The promotion will be advertised through in-store displays, social media and Veryfine.com. The promotion will run June 17th – September 20th.

Veryfine has a rich history going all the way back to 1865. But things didn”t start out so tasty way back then; in fact, Veryfine products used to be sour – literally! Veryfine is a brand that stemmed from the Standard Vinegar Company of Somerville, Massachusetts. In 1919 the Veryfine juice brand was established, and by 1944 juice production and sales were surpassing those of vinegar. What hasn”t changed from the old days is our commitment to creating only the highest quality products. And what makes our products high quality? Our people. Veryfine has always prided itself on having a staff of passionate, hardworking individuals that help us continuously improve our products, for our company and for our consumers.
