Clearly Kombucha Receives Five Health Certifications

clearly kombuchaSAN FRANCISCO — Clearly Kombucha, a Bay Area kombucha company, is proud to announce that they have received five important health certification seals, ensuring their product fulfills their high quality standards. The certifications include: Non-GMO project Verification, USDA Organic, Gluten Free certification by NSF, Kosher certification by Star K and Vegan Certification.

“We set out to create a kombucha that we feel good about consuming ourselves and selling to the consumer,” said Caleb Cargle, Clearly Kombucha’s co-founder and president. “It is our mission to create a healthy, delicious and clean elixir, and obtaining these certifications is a critical element of reaching this goal.”

In addition, Clearly Kombucha updated and re-designed their bottle labels. The new bottle labels have an artistic, colorful design, and prominently feature the health seals. The company also refined their flavor profiles and now all of their kombuchas have less sugar and calories. All of the flavors except for the raspberry lemonade have 25 calories and 5 grams of sugar. Made with a touch of organic stevia, raspberry lemonade is 5 calories per bottle and only one gram of sugar.

Since May 2014, Clearly Kombucha has started rolling out the updated bottle labels and flavor profiles at Whole Foods Market and Safeway stores in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest, and The Fresh Market chain.
