Introducing Fizzleblitz Sparkling Fruit Juice Tea

Every flavor contains Yerba Mate Leaves Extract, a natural energy substitute for caffeine. The signature taste is Passion Fruit Yerba Mate, and the additional two are Blueberry Pomegranate Rooibos Tea and Raspberry Lime Rooibos Tea. It is sweetened with evaporated cane sugar and contains both juice and fruit puree which makes the beverage dense and refreshing.

About the company and founders

1. Who are we?

  • Roman Sorocan (CEO, co-founder) Business School Grad with concentrationin HR, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Finance and Management. In 6 years managed 4 Non-Profits and organized more than 15 conferences and social campaigns. Worked with UniCredit Bank, Nestle, Metro, US Embassy, Mtel, Coca-Cola Hellenic, IBM and Google. Since 11 old, volunteered and worked for non-profits and as an active social entrepreneur. At 16 got the Junior Peer Educator Certification and educated peers in high schools about STIs, Ecology and Human Rights.
  • Robert Walder (Founder) Entrepreneur, Owner and Manager of RGW Nantucket Cleaning Company. Founder of Espresso Catering on Nantucket, MA and in Plainfield, VT. Member of Coq au Vin Nantucket music band, bachelor of music.

  2. What problem are we solving and how are we solving it?

There were two issues at stake before the idea came to life. Robert has 2 kids, and always tried to carefully watch the amount of sweets and the quality of food on the table. Every parent wants to make his children happy and often it is hard to keep them away from attractive shelves with candy or beverages, which contain either aspartame or HFCS. Fizzleblitz was born as a natural solution to make the kids happy and enjoy a tasty beverage with no consequences.

The second issue addressed is Roman’s addiction to coffee and carbonated beverages. As a business major, the optimization life style has been taking over every aspect of his life, constantly with a question in mind: How to do things better,

healthier, faster and maybe more fun? Yerba Mate became the perfect solution, providing healthy energy without consequences. Fizzleblitz is a result of passion, fun and beverage optimization. The beverage market is polluted with sodas, juices and teas that use a lot of preservatives and chemicals. Excess of sugar is not good for the body, but by getting it mostly from fruits or from cane and avoiding HFCS, aspartame or other chemicals is a much better alternative. There are other sweeteners claiming to be healthier like stevia or monk fruit however, the truth is we are not willing to drink a flavored beverage that has a metal aftertaste. The company truly believes in the 80/20 rule. 20% of the food you eat has to offer fun and pleasure, while the 80% has to be unpreserved and raw meals.

5. What makes us different from our competitors and where are the overlaps?

Fizzleblitz can’t be compared to other beverages. It is a new niche in this industry. It can be compared with sparkling sodas, but they miss the tea and the natural energy. Comparing to functional beverages, those have neither tea nor juice and contain a lot of fake caffeine. Paralleling with Yerba Mate Tea beverages, those are diversified by concentrated flavors, and Fizzleblitz uses juice and fruit puree instead. The usual juices are not as refreshing and offer no functionality and no proper nourishment. Fizzleblitz offers functionality, taste and refreshment in one beverage.

6. What do the people who care most about the company’s success think it is?

Before rolling out the beverage on August 1st, the founders have been giving out gallons of samples. The response has been sensational; especially the support from the community is incredible. People often are skeptical when trying a new product, but it is stunning to observe the response for each flavor. Besides a loan and car investment, Fizzleblitz gets a lot of support. Rolling out a Kickstarter campaign was a suggestion from people who sampled Fizzleblitz. They can’t offer thousands, but are willing to make a significant input.

7. What is the Social Mission and Impact?

Fizzleblitz has been built with a social mission at its core. Charities and donations are usually very boring or people just don’t see the impact and the money they gave making a change. Fizzleblitz will create an interactive way to change the world. On the website every visitor will have access to a live camera over the orchards sponsored by them. The first one will be in Vermont, which is donated by the founders. With time there will be more of them, and everyone who wants to make an impact can donate to plant a tree, a bush or maybe and entire garden and see it evolve over time. It will be a real-time Farmville, except with true impact. Fizzleblitz will donate 2% of the profits to sustaining this venture and will support organic farming, honey bee colonies, water preservation NGOs.
