NY2O Joins the Drink Up Initiative

NEW YORK — NY2O, the premium bottled water from New York, has joined the Drink Up initiative, which encourages people to drink more water more often.

NY2O will incorporate Drink Up messaging into its retail point of sale materials, which it will circulate to the more than 1,500 retailers it works with. In addition, it will spread the word about the Drink Up initiative at all NY2O-specific events held in five select regional markets.

The announcement came today from The Partnership for a Healthier America Chief Executive Officer, Lawrence A. Soler, who said, “This effort is all about getting the word out and encouraging more Americans to drink more water.  We’re delighted that NY2O has joined our effort and look forward to their work to help spread this important message.”

The Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) works with the private sector as well as PHA Honorary Chair First Lady, Michelle Obama, with the objective to solve the nation’s childhood obesity crisis.

NY2O also is committed to promote the initiative digitally via its online platforms.

Born in New York’s Catskill Forest Preserve, micro-filtered to its purest, natural brilliance and bottled locally, NY2O premium water offers discerning consumers the quintessential taste of New York.

After years of meticulous research, NY2O delivers a premium bottled water that captures an unmistakable taste and quality, and is a one hundred percent American brand that represents the energy, creativity and essence of New York.

Featured in elegant and ergonomically designed bottles, NY2O also is available  throughout much of the metropolitan New York area and the Eastern USA with roll-out plans set for Chicago and the Midwest as well as Southern California.  As it expands its distribution network across the nation, NY2O offers four bottle sizes: 330 ml, 20 ounce, and 1 and 1.5 liters.  The company also plans to offer a sparkling accompaniment later this year

About the Partnership for a Healthier America

The Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) is devoted to working with the private sector to ensure the health of the nation’s youth by solving the childhood obesity crisis. In 2010, PHA was created in conjunction with – but independent from – First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! effort. PHA is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization that is led by some of the nation’s most respected health and childhood obesity experts. PHA brings together public, private and nonprofit leaders to broker meaningful commitments and develop strategies to end childhood obesity. Most important, PHA ensures that commitments made are commitments kept by working with unbiased third parties to monitor and publicly report on the progress our partners are making.
