“We are thrilled to not only expand our offerings, but to expand our availability through these quality retailers and fill the overwhelming need of families across the U.S. for a healthier beverage,” said CEO Heather Howell. “Partnering with outlets like Kroger, not only the largest supplier of our family of brands including Rooibee Roo, but our hometown grocery, helps make our products more accessible and convenient. It will allow us to see even bigger growth in 2015.”

In addition to the products’ expanded availability, Rooibee Red Tea Company has received recognition on a local and national level. An Orange Fork Taste of Innovation award was presented to the company on Oct. 1. The Orange Fork Award recognizes individuals, organizations, and communities that embody the spirit of promoting a local food system. Martha Stewart also named both brands an American Made award finalist. The award promotes the spirit of innovation by recognizing local makers and their homegrown products. Public voting for the audience choice winner is live through Oct. 13 online at marthastewart.com/americanmade and winners will be announced on Oct. 17.

About Rooibee Red Tea Company

Rooibee Red Tea is the only bottled USDA organic red tea made from the South African rooibos bush. It is a legume that grows only on the western cape of South Africa. It is high in unique antioxidants, naturally caffeine-free and low in tannins leaving no bitter aftertaste. The company was founded in 2009 in Louisville, Kentucky to provide a healthy drink the whole family can enjoy.
