Fuel In A Bottle Partners with National Fallen Firefighters Foundation on “Fuel the Fund” Campaign

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 24, 2015 – Fuel in a Bottle Energy Shots, owned by BYB Brands, Inc., announced today it will partner with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to sponsor programs and events that honor our nation’s fallen fire heroes. This is the brand’s first philanthropic sponsorship.

Through its “Fuel the Fund” campaign between Feb. 23 and Dec. 31, Fuel in a Bottle will make a donation to the Foundation, which will support important fire prevention programs. In addition, Fuel in a Bottle will assist with local fundraising events held by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, such as memorial stair climbs.

“Over the past 35 years, more than 4,000 firefighters have lost their lives in the line of duty,” said Chief Ron Siarnicki, executive director of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. “With the help of Fuel in a Bottle and its valued customers, we can continue providing support to survivors, as well as programs, training and resources for fire departments to prevent these deaths and serious injuries.”

Created in 1992, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The Foundation leads a nationwide effort to honor and remember America’s fallen firefighters, provide resources to assist their survivors in rebuilding their lives, and work within the fire service to reduce deaths.

As Fuel in a Bottle launches its campaign this spring, the company will also unveil new brand materials, including an updated logo, tagline, website, packaging, merchandising and in-store point-of-sale materials. The graphic refresh will feature a clean look and feel with bright colors to highlight the energy shot flavors.

“Moving into 2015, we are thrilled to launch new initiatives, including this partnership with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Aligning our brand, Fuel in a Bottle Energy Shots with the energy, focus and courage needed from first responders felt like a great opportunity for Fuel in a Bottle and our customers,” said Erin Kelly, vice president of marketing and new business development for BYB Brands. “We are proud to partner with the Foundation and support its many inspiring programs and events.” Fuel in a Bottle Energy Shots are available in retail locations across the Southeast and Central U.S. A full list of locations can be found at www.fuelinabottle.com.
