Green Mountain Launches Organic and Fair Trade Certified Line of Coffees

WATERBURY, Vt.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Keurig Green Mountain, Inc., (Keurig) (NASDAQ: GMCR), a leader in specialty coffee, coffee makers, teas and other beverages with its innovative brewing technology, today announced the launch of Green Mountain Coffee® Organic – a new line of premium coffees that are both organic and Fair Trade Certified™. This launch marks the first collection of a double certified line of Green Mountain Coffee® ever available for the Keurig® hot brewing system. With this new Organic line, Green Mountain Coffee® has also unveiled a new look, including new branding and a refreshed logo and packaging.

Green Mountain Coffee® Organic K-Cup® pods are now available on Keurig.com, and will expand to retail starting in July. The four varieties at launch include three single origin coffees – Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Peru Cajamarca, Sumatra Aceh – and one artfully crafted blend, Founder’s Blend.

  • Sumatra Aceh: From the northern Sumatran province of Aceh where growing coffee organically is part of the region’s heritage, this single origin dark roast, full-bodied coffee has notes of dark chocolate and fresh fig, and a pleasant, lingering finish, (more information).
