AMP Energy Launches New Tropical Punch Flavor in Limited Edition Can In Partnership with Twitch

unnamedunnamed-1PURCHASE, N.Y., August 22, 2016 — AMP Energy® is proud to announce a new, great tasting Tropical Punch flavor to its robust and flavorful energy drink portfolio. The new flavor celebrates the partnership between AMP Energy and Twitch, the world’s leading social video platform and community for gamers.

The new Tropical Punch flavor will be available exclusively at participating 7-Eleven® stores across the country beginning August 22, in eye-popping, co-branded Twitch cans featuring the iconic Twitch purple color. The launch of the new flavor celebrates the continued partnership between AMP and Twitch while highlighting AMP’s commitment to the gaming world. The new Tropical Punch flavor marks the third co-branded can between the two companies.

This past May, AMP and Twitch first announced their partnership by conducting a national fan and broadcaster sweepstakes encouraging users to purchase the Twitch-branded AMP cans and upload to Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #AMPLevelUpSweepstakes. Once uploaded, users were entered for a chance to win a trip to TwitchCon 2016 and exclusive co-branded gear. This partnership marked the first time the iconic Twitch logo has ever been used on any non-gaming retail product.

“AMP Energy is excited to launch yet another great tasting energy drink – the new Tropical Punch flavor in a Twitch purple, co-branded can, taking our commitment to the eSports world one step further,” said Sonika Patel, senior manager, marketing, AMP Energy. “AMP is dedicated to bringing forth the best flavor options so fans and gamers can enjoy the great taste of their energy drinks while they fuel up.” AMP Energy and Twitch launched a co-branded website——which features exclusive content and custom AMP Energy commercials by Twitch influencers such as Anna Prosser, Jordan “Soma” Tayor and Mike Ross.
