Avitae Introduces Flavored Caffeine Water to Whole Foods Market in Mid-Atlantic Region

CLEVELAND — Avitae USA, LLC is expanding its retail presence and introducing three flavors of Avitae Caffeine Water to consumers in Whole Foods Market stores, the leading natural and organic foods supermarket. Blackberry, Tangerine and Pomegranate Açai flavor options of Avitae are now authorized in 49 Whole Foods Market store locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Avitae is distributed by DPI Specialty Foods and is the only caffeinated water product offered at Whole Foods Market stores.

“We’re excited to bring flavored caffeine water to Whole Foods Market stores and provide customers with even more options for a healthier caffeine alternative, daily pick-me-up or instant-go,” said Norman E. Snyder, president and chief executive officer, Avitae. “Whole Foods Market is a respected leader in the industry and has been a great partner for us. We’re thrilled to continue to grow our partnership with them.”

The water contains natural caffeine derived from green coffee beans, contains zero calories, sugars or artificial ingredients, and has no bitter aftertaste.

With the addition of the three flavor options, customers will have access to six Avitae products at Whole Foods Market mid-Atlantic stores, including 45-milligram, 90-milligram and 125-milligram unflavored caffeine waters. The unflavored caffeine water has been available at the retailer since fall 2013.

Avitae offers consumers three caffeine-level options: 45-milligram, 90-milligram and 125-milligram levels. The 45-milligram option is equal to a half-cup of coffee, the 90-milligram version is equal to a cup of coffee, and the 125-milligram offering is equivalent to the amount of caffeine in one and a half cups of coffee. There are also four flavored caffeine waters available at the 90-milligram caffeine level: Pomegranate Açai, Tangerine, Blackberry and Strawberry Guava.

In March 2016, Avitae announced it was adding five Sparkling Avitae options to its product line at the 90-milligram caffeine level. Sparkling Avitae is expected to be available later this year in an unflavored version and in four all-new flavors, Black Cherry, Raspberry Lime, Berry Kiwi and Mandarin Passion Fruit.

The water retails for approximately $1.69 per 16.9-fluid-ounce (500-milliliter) bottle and can be purchased online on Amazon andOffice Depot.
