Evolution Fresh Debuts Four New Juices at Natural Products Expo West

SEATTLE (March 11, 2016) – With innovation always a top priority at Evolution Fresh, Mark Ninomiya, product manager, and his team look to emerging juice trends and consumer insights for inspiration. Most recently, they discovered a need to develop new juices that provide specific benefits.

“We looked at the latest trends in juicing and nutrition to understand that consumers are seeking more sources of protein and new options for hydration,” said Ninomiya.

With this knowledge in hand, the team began development of four new juice varieties.

Protein Power

“With the popularity of smoothies, juice is a natural place to get protein,” said Ninomiya. “So we developed two new flavor variations on our Protein Power line. Because berries are a very popular flavor and because we love to share our passion for greens, we developed around these flavors.” The Evolution Fresh Protein Power line are the only cold-pressed juices to deliver an excellent source of protein.

Protein Power Greens

Green vegetable juices including cucumber, spinach, romaine lettuce and kale are blended with protein and fruit juices in this smoothie. With 14 grams of protein per eight-ounce serving, it provides 28% of the daily recommended value of protein.

Protein Power Berry

Sweet and tart strawberries and raspberry juices are swirled into a creamy protein smoothie that provides 14 grams of protein per eight-ounce serving and 28% of the daily recommended value of protein.

Organic Greens & Kale

“We take pride in the fact that we have a green juice for everyone,” said Ninomiya. “Whether you’re looking for one of our five juices made with more than a pound of green vegetables* or just starting your green juice journey, we’ve got options. With Organic Greens & Kale, we wanted to provide an additional organic green juice to join our Organic Sweet Greens and Ginger. We opted for a traditional green juice with dark, leafy greens.”

Organic kale is highlighted in a refreshing blend of organic spinach, romaine, cucumber and celery perfectly accented with a squeeze of lemon. This green juice is an excellent source of Vitamin K with four grams of sugar per eight-ounce serving.

Organic Green Lemonade

“Consumers look to juice for hydration,” said Ninomiya. “We have an assortment of lemonade and limeades that are quite popular, but we wanted to bring an innovative way to enjoy these classic flavors. Organic Green Lemonade again showcases our passion for greens in a lemonade that is thirst quenching.”

A new twist on a traditional favorite, this beverage offers a hydrating lemonade mixed with green juice. It is USDA-certified organic with 10 grams of sugar per eight-ounce serving and tastes great with a meal or alone.

The four new Evolution Fresh juices will be available nationally this spring at select Whole Foods as well as natural and premium grocery stores.
