JUST Water Begins Selling at University of Colorado Boulder

unnamedGlens Falls, NY, November 21, 2016 – JUST water, the ethically sourced 100% spring water in a paper-based bottle, is now available on the University of Colorado (CU) campus in Boulder, through a partnership with New Age Beverages. University of Colorado advocates for students to choose reusable bottles, mugs, bags and other items instead of single-use plastics, and has long considered completely banning plastic water bottles. Given its focus on environmental conservation and sustainability, CU students are actively seeking out better alternatives to plastic – now they have JUST water.

JUST water is 100% spring water, responsibly sourced, produced and packaged for improved environmental and social impact. The JUST water bottle is made from 82% renewable resources by using plant-based plastic derived from sugarcane and FSC-certified paper. The JUST water bottle creates up to 74% less greenhouse gas emissions than traditional PET plastic bottles.

JUST’s 100% spring water is from the Glens Falls watershed in Upstate New York where water is abundant. An ethical trade revenue partnership with the city of Glens Falls is revitalizing the local community by paying six times the municipal rate for access to less than 3% of its excess water. This appreciable revenue over time helps to upgrade aging water infrastructure, while the business model itself is restoring industry, providing jobs and protecting the watershed.

“These students are our future – they’re hopeful and determined, and they’re leading the way to positive change by influencing what businesses create and how they do it,” said Grace Jeon, JUST CEO. “We continue to hear students’ calls across the country for better alternatives to single-use plastics, and we’re pleased to be able to offer JUST water on the CU campus, thanks to our partners at New Age Beverages.”

JUST joined forces with New Age Beverages Corporation – which is based in Colorado – to bring its paper-based water bottles to the CU campus.

“We believe in JUST water as a product and in JUST’s mission as a company, so it was an obvious choice to work together at CU and throughout Colorado,” said Jeremy Warr at New Age Beverages Corporation.

JUST water launched in 2015 with Whole Foods Market and is now available nationally at Kroger, Albertsons/Safeway, Sprouts and other fine retailers, in addition to on campus at CU, New York University, UCLA, Vanderbilt University, Boston University, Arizona State University and other educational institutions.

JUST’s price point of $0.99 for a 16.9-ounce bottle is deliberate to ensure JUST water is accessible to everyone.
