KonaRed Adds Soylent COO to Board of Directors

In the midst of “a major period of revenue growth,” KonaRed, a producer of coffeefruit drinks and cold brew coffee, announced the addition of Brad Paris and President/COO Kyle Redfield to the company’s board of directors.

Paris brings a wealth of experience to the board at KonaRed, having spent a total of 12 years at POM Wonderful as a General Manager, VP and a four-month stint as Interim CFO/COO last year. He departed to join Harmless Harvest as COO in September, 2015, before leaving for his current position as COO of meal replacement company Soylent.

“Brad Paris has substantial experience with market expansion, operations and the development and launch of new products,” Roberts said in a press release. “His advice and counsel to the board will be invaluable, and it is at a perfect time for us to add Brad to our team.”

Redfield, also previously a General Manager (Industrial Sales) at POM Wonderful from 2011 through 2015, has served as President and COO at KonaRed since June 2015.

“The appointment of Kyle Redfield as a director is a well deserved acknowledgement of the significant contribution he’s made to KonaRed in a short period of time, Roberts said. “Kyle’s been a driving force in our strategic initiatives and his participation as a director will further strengthen our Board.”

KonaRed launched its RTD cold brew coffee line in January. Last month, KonaRed added two new SKUs — Kauai Caramel and Maui Mocha — and a 32 oz. glass bottle for Original and Hawaiian Vanilla flavors. The brand also announced a increase in retail placements and expanded distribution in August.
