Nestlé Waters North America Elevates Antonio Sciuto Executive Vice President – Brands
Along with the new role, Sciuto retains his position as CMO. The company announced the news in a press release, revealing that Sciuto’s “new, expanded role” will see him lead NWNA’s “four brand business units – Nestlé Pure Life, Regional Spring Waters, International and Tea – as well as the company’s work in the areas of Insights, Innovation, eBusiness and Consumer Affairs.”
“Antonio is a true change agent who brings great passion and energy to our business,” said NWNA president and CEO Tim Brown. “His sharp focus on optimizing digital and mobile customer experiences will position our brands extremely well as technology continues to transform our business. ROAR Hires National Sales Director
ROAR Beverages has announced the hire of Lawrence “JB” Woodworth as general manager and national sales director. Woodworth joins the upstart sports drink brand from the spirits industry, having most recently served as regional sales manager at Edrington. Prior to Edrington Woodworth spent more than five years at Pernod Ricard, most recently as director – prestige national accounts.
“JB’s passion, enthusiasm and experience is a tremendous addition to our executive team especially at this pivotal time in ROAR’s evolution as a bverage and lifestyle brand,” said ROAR CEO Roly Nesli. “His accomplishments in the beverage industry speak for themselves and with his leadership we look to expand distribution into new retail channels as well as strengthening our current footprint as we continue to grow both in U.S. and globally.”
Woodworth’s hire follows ROAR’s announcement of an upcoming organic line extension, slated to debut at next month’s Natural Products Expo East trade show in Baltimore.
KeVita Hires Chief Strategy Officer
Bryan Crowley, the former president and COO of VeeV Spirits has joined KeVita as the company’s chief strategy officer. As indicated on his LinkedIn account, Crowley, who led VeeV through its sale to Luxco Imports earlier this year, has come aboard “to head business strategy, human resources, product development and innovation for KeVita.”
Alan Chittaro Promoted to President of Faygo Beverages
National Beverage Corporation has named Alan Chittaro president of company’s Faygo brand. Chitaro, who most recently served as executive vice president of Faygo, first began his career with the soft drink brand as a teenager, working as a part-time driver. National Beverage chairman and CEO Nick Caporella said Chittaro “is as much a part of Faygo as Faygo is of Detroit,” in a press release announcing the promotion.
PepsiCo Elects Darren Walker to Board of Directors
PepsiCo has elected Darren Walker to the its board of directors, according to a company press release. Walker spent the last six years at the Ford Foundation, the last three as president. Prior to the Ford Foundation Walker spent nearly a decade at The Rockefeller Foundation, most recently as vice president of foundation initiatives. PepsiCo chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi championed Walker’s “unique understanding of business and social issues” and said his addition “will be particularly valuable as we continue to drive our Performance with Purpose” agenda and pursue strategies to drive sustainable long-term growth.”
