Sherborn, MA-based investment bank Silverwood Partners has brought on Lynette McKee and Neal Yanofsky as Industry Advisors within its Consumer division. McKee and Yanofsky join Silverwood having both held executive roles in the restaurant, foodservice, and beverage industries, with positions at Dunkin’ Brands, Burger King, and Panera Bread. The new hires round out a team that includes frequent BevNET contributors Mike Burgmaier, Bob Burke, and Brad Barnhorn.

SHERBORN, MA – January 7, 2013 – Silverwood Partners, a specialized consumer, technology and healthcare investment banking firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Lynette McKee and Neal Yanofsky as Industry Advisors. These additions further enhance the firm’s deep expertise and experience in the restaurant, retail and hospitality, food, beverage, and consumer products sectors.
Lynette McKee is an Industry Advisor with Silverwood Partners in the Consumer sector. Ms. McKee is the Managing Partner of McKeeCo Services, LLC a strategic advisor for franchising and development in the restaurant and hospitality industries. Her background includes executive positions with Dunkin’ Brands, Burger King, Denny’s, Checkers and Metromedia Restaurant Group, and most recently she was the Executive Director of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
Ms. McKee is considered an industry expert in franchising and leading organizations through long-range and strategic planning. She is a frequent guest speaker and in 2011 was awarded the Bonnie LeVine Award by the International Franchise Association (IFA), given to the outstanding female in the franchise industry. In 2008 Ms. McKee was named to the Griffin Report: Woman of Influence in the Food Service Industry, a finalist in the 2007 National Stevie Awards for outstanding women in business and she was awarded the 2007 Emerging Leader Award by the Women’s Foodservice Forum. Ms. McKee was named the 2005 recipient of the Crystal Compass, given by the Women’s Committee of the IFA to an outstanding female who exemplifies leadership within the franchise industry.
In addition to serving on the IFA/ICFE Board of Governors, Ms. McKee is a member of the IFA Diversity Foundation. She has served on the Women’s Foodservice Forum Board of Directors and the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Board of Trustees and as an Industry Representative to the NRA Board of Directors from 2008 – 2010.
Ms. McKee’s franchise career has spanned 23 years in the restaurant hospitality industry. Prior to entering the franchising industry, she owned a commercial real estate company in Nashville, Tennessee.
Neal Yanofsky is an Industry Advisor with Silverwood Partners in the Consumer sector. Mr. Yanofsky has been a senior executive in several leading restaurant companies. He served as President, International, of Dunkin’ Brands (NASDAQ: DNKN), where he was responsible for all of the firm’s operations outside the U.S., comprising 7,000 Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins locations in more than 50 countries. Mr. Yanofsky was also President of Panera Bread (NASDAQ: PNRA), a leader in the “quick casual” segment of the restaurant industry. During Mr. Yanofsky’s tenure Panera’s system-wide sales tripled to over $2.5 billion. Earlier in his career Mr. Yanofsky was the first chief marketing officer at Au Bon Pain.
In addition to his operating experience, Mr. Yanofsky spent ten years at Fidelity Investments. As Vice President of Fidelity Ventures he was responsible for re-starting Fidelity’s venture capital program, forming and managing a group investing predominantly in early-stage health care technology companies and producing returns almost double the industry average.
Mr. Yanofsky received his A.B. from Harvard College and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and completed a post-graduate fellowship at the London School of Economics.
