Copper & Kings Expands Distribution of American Craft Brandy

Copper & KingsLouisville distillery brings untraditional spirits to four new states

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 27, 2014) —  Louisville-based Copper & Kings American Brandy Co. is excited to announce partnerships with new distributors to make their American craft brandies available in Tennessee, Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota for the first time. The modern brandy makers commenced distilling copper pot-distilled spirits in April 2014 and have distributed product solely in Kentucky through River City Distributing since June. Market expansions outside the home state will be possible through the appointment of Johnson Brothers Liquor Company in Minnesota, Lipman Brothers in Tennessee (Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga), the Legacy-Spirits division of Heritage Wine Cellars in Illinois and Glazer’s Distributors in Indiana (which includes brokerage services in Ohio).

Founded by beverage entrepreneurs Lesley and Joe Heron, Copper & Kings produces non-chill filtered, unadulterated copper pot-distilled American brandy aged in bourbon barrels with no added boise, sugar or caramel coloring. The first offerings available include Copper & Kings Immature Brandy and Copper & Kings Craft Distilled Brandy. The distillery has three copper pot-stills with 1,800 gallons of distilling capacity and production capacity planned at 200,000 cases.

“The response to Copper & Kings in Kentucky has been superb. Adding my old home turf of Minnesota is tremendously exciting, not to mention Chicago, Nashville and Indiana,” said owner Joe Heron. “We have selected our expansion states and partners with real care, and we couldn’t be more enthused about our future. Copper & Kings brandy rocks!”
