Sugarlands Distilling Company Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

Sugarlands Distilling Company—one of the fastest growing crafters of moonshine in the country—exceeded expectations in its first year of business by selling more than 50,000 cases of craft moonshine.

Gatlinburg, Tennessee (PRWEB) March 05, 2015 — Sugarlands Distilling Company—one of the fastest growing crafters of moonshine spirits in the country—will celebrate one year of business this week.

Since opening on March 7, 2014, more than 700,000 people visited Sugarlands Distilling Company’s downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee distillery and more than 50,000 cases of craft moonshine were purchased.

“We far exceeded our first year expectations,” said company owner Ned Vickers. “We are very proud of what we have been able to put together in such a short period of time.”

“Our success starts with the product,” Vickers said. “We consistently win accolades for the taste of our moonshine. But we owe a lot of our growth to the authenticity of our moonshine and the message we are sending.”

Sugarlands Distilling Company’s moonshine is currently distributed in 13 states, and the company is looking forward to continued growth and expansion across the country.

Sugarlands Distilling Company’s phased strategic distribution strategy has been supported through a partnership with TAG USA, one of the most respected beverage marketing/sales organizations in the country.

“Their marketing campaign, along with the distillery, has enabled Sugarlands Distilling Company to reach the consumer directly—something almost no other moonshine can say,” said Lenny Roberts of TAG USA. “There are lots of moonshines out there but none of them has the total package like Sugarlands Distilling Company. With the newly completed Legends Series, the excitement is off the charts right now.”

Sugarlands Distilling Company’s partnership with legendary moonshiners Steven Ray Tickle, Mark Rogers, and Marvin “Jim Tom” Hedrick marked the creation of the widely successful Legends Series line of moonshine.

Sugarlands Distilling company currently produces nine varieties of moonshine including; Tickle’s Dynamite Cinnamon Moonshine, Jim Tom Hedricks’ Unaged Rye, Mark Rogers’ American Peach, Silver Cloud Tennessee Sour Mash, Appalachian Apple Pie, Blockader’s Blackberry, Butterscotch Gold, Old Fashioned Lemonade, and Southern Sweet Tea.

In 2014, Sugarlands Distilling Company launched its charitable giveback program— MoonShare. The MoonShare 2015 Year of Giving includes a commitment to give over $60,000 to non-profit organizations across the United States.

MoonShare is a division of the company that highlights and supports non-profit organizations that work to improve their communities across the country.

Sugarlands Distilling Company also boasts one of the region’s best live music venues. The Back Porch Series, Sugarlands’ free music series, brings some of the most talented musical acts in the country—American Aquarium, Woody Pines, Folk Soul Revival, etc.—to the mountains of East Tennessee.

Sugarlands Distilling Company plans to continue its growth and expansion into 2015, and beyond, to meet the increasing demand for their moonshine nationwide.

“We have an amazing team,” Vickers said. “We have all-stars at every position and it is really fueling our growth at this time.”
