TRURO, MA; November 5, 2015— The Roberts Family, owners of Cape Cod’s Truro Vineyards and South Hollow Spirits, today announce the addition of wine and spirits veteran Ed Gualtieri to their Advisory Board. With more than 40 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, Ed brings a wealth of knowledge in sales, brand management and product development to the beloved New England vineyards and first distillery on Cape Cod since Prohibition.
Ed started his career in sales and brand management for prominent CPG companies including General Foods (Maxwell House Division) and Standard Brands (now under the Nabisco umbrella), as well as pharmaceutical giant Warner-Lambert. Following those positions, Ed narrowed his focus to the alcoholic beverage industry, serving as VP of Marketing at Heublein and then President of the Vanguard Division and Sr. VP of Marketing for Barton Brands (Constellation Wine & Spirits). In recent years, he has worked on both wines and spirits, consulting on new and established brands at a variety of nationally renowned companies. Most recently, Ed was instrumental in the development of Twenty Boat Spiced and Amber rums, the first offerings from South Hollow Spirits.
“We’re pleased to welcome Ed to the Truro Vineyards and South Hollow Spirits Advisory Board to help us continue to elevate our business and reinforce our commitment to the wine and spirits industry year after year,” said Dave Roberts Sr., Co-Owner and Founder of Truro Vineyards and South Hollow Spirits of Cape Cod. “Ed brings an incredible level of experience and perspective to our team that will be invaluable as we look to the future. With his marketing and brand development expertise, we plan to expand our current line of South Hollow Spirits and continue to offer quality products while reinforcing our standing as a premier attraction on Cape Cod.”
With over 300 years of collective experience, Ed joins an existing Advisory Board comprised of professionals who each offer insight and experience into specific facets of the business, including Judy Aguera (Culinary), Alan Freedman (Financial), Hal Gorman (Legal), Karen Hunt (Sales/Marketing), Eric Jansen (Local/On-Premise), Mike McCann (Fine Wine), and Nello Trevison (Production/ Facilities).
