Dripping Springs Vodka Wildlife Series Hit Texas Shelves This Labor Day

image001(Dripping Springs, Texas) San Luis Spirits, home of Dripping Springs Vodka and Gin announced today that their popular wildlife labels are scheduled to hit select shelves across Texas by Labor Day Weekend.

This marks the fourth year of Dripping Spring’s annual limited edition wildlife bottles, continuing a tradition that was originally imagined by the distillery’s Treasurer Susan Kelleher.

“We received an impressive number of exceptional drawings this year, from rattlesnakes to pheasants to a martini sipping armadillo,” said Kelleher.

“We were so honored to choose from so many wonderful works of art. The enthusiastic feedback from the artists was such a pleasure.”

The “Mockingbird” Series, by artist Jennifer Hacker of Houston, is featured on 10,000 limited edition 750ml wildlife series bottles.

Jennifer currently works as a 3D CAD Designer and freelance Fine Artist. She has received a handful of fine art awards for her wildlife and landscapes. Jennifer attended college in Savannah with a focus in 3D Environment Art.

A portion of The Mockingbird Series bottles will also include a Hill Country Conservancy sticker, as Jenn’s feisty rendering of the State Bird of Texas was also selected by the HCC for a thousand bottles, from which a portion of the

proceeds will be donated back to the nonprofit. These can be found at Twin Liquors stores in San Antonio & Austin.

Artist Ryan Emmons drew The “Longhorn” Series. Ryan is a North Carolina native turned Austinite. She attended St. Edward’s University in Austin, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She works predominantly in the medium of ink drawings and acrylic paintings, influenced by her travels and personal experiences.

The “Speckled Trout” Series is the work of hometown artist Kelly Murphy. Kelly grew up in Mankato, Minnesota and now lives and paints in Dripping Springs. She has a Ph.D. in Linguistics, creates art with her children and loves living in the Texas Hill Country with her family.

The Bison Series, titled “The Visitor” is the work of artist Holly Nowak of Kingwood. Holly painted this bison on a recent trip to Caprock Canyons State Park, home to the Official Bison Herd of the State of Texas.

She is a native, 5th generation Texan, wife, mother and teacher. Holly says her “love of family, nature, and wildlife,” as well as her deep southern roots, inspires her and is reflected in her art. Her work can be seen in her Houston studio as well as in The Bryan Museum and Affaire d’Art Gallery in Galveston.

The “Longhorn,” “Speckled Trout,” and Bison Series can be found on 7,000 1.75L wildlife series bottles each.

The launch of the Dripping Springs Vodka Limited Edition Wildlife Labels coincides with National Wilderness Month.
