Bay Cities First in North America to Acquire Oppliger Laminator

bay cities logoPICO RIVERA, Calif. — Bay Cities, a leading provider of innovative point of purchase displays, retail packaging and in-store signage, has purchased the first Oppliger Sintesy 206 Laminator in North America. Made in Italy and previously available only in Europe, the Oppliger 206 is the fastest laminator available in the packaging and display industry and will enable Bay Cities to provide better customer service by speeding up its production process.

“In our industry, it’s all about speed to market,” says Brett Kirkpatrick, Chief Operating Officer for Bay Cities. “The quicker we can design, produce and pack display units for our clients, the quicker they can get their products to market. Three time faster than our current laminator, the Oppliger will allow us to eliminate our biggest production bottleneck and provide our clients with even faster time to market.”

Designed for all types of packaging and displays that require litho-laminating, the Oppliger is especially effective with packaging and retail displays that require high-quality graphics, such as cosmetics, entertainment, electronics and other small products. With a smaller footprint than its leading competitor, the Oppliger offers display manufacturers with limited floor space a workable alternative to larger laminating equipment.

“From concept to finished product, Bay Cities leads the industry in speed to market,” adds Kirkpatrick, “and that requires keeping up with the latest in printing and packaging technologies. The Oppliger represents a significant capital investment not just in the success of our business, but in the success of our clients’ businesses as well.”
