Coca-Cola North America named Reinaldo Padua as assistant vice president of Hispanic Marketing. Padua will be responsible for leading CCNA’s Hispanic marketing strategy and program execution. • The Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc announced that Cynthia M. Trudell, PepsiCo’s Senior Vice President Human Resources, was elected to the PBG Board of Directors • Ardea Beverage Company, the makers of Nutrisoda, recently announced Richard Wilson as president and general manager. • American Enterprise Development Corporation and HAVOC Distribution, Inc. entered into a Consulting Agreement with Rick Peterson. Mr. Peterson has over 20 years of experience with consumer powerhouse brands such as PepsiCo, Pepsi-Cola Bottling Group, Gatorade, and Tropicana.

Read the article here. • Red Bull won a suit against three bars in Rochester, N.Y. where management substituted lower priced energy drinks when customers asked for Red Bull. The settlement orders the bars to discontinue the practice and also included an undisclosed monetary fine. • A St. Louis-based health-care organization is turning to the tap, eliminating bottled water at its hospitals. The bottle ban begins Sunday at SSM Health Care’s 20 hospitals in four states. Bottled water will be eliminated from vending machines, won’t be sold in cafeterias, won’t be brought in for meetings.

Under the terms of the agreement, Garden has exclusive rights to a four state area, and is also a master distributor setting up subs in the region.
