While the most notable thing about .50 Cal Energy Shot is its bullet shaped container (we'll get to that in a minute), the liquid inside the bottle actually isn't bad. Using just a touch of sugar, the product has a sweet flavor that's one of the more drinkable "classic" style energy shots that we've had. It also has only 8 calories, which is definitely tolerable, even if you're watching your intake. Functionally, the product has 120mg of caffeine (that's 1.5x a Red Bull) along with ginkgo, taurine, acai berry, goji berry, and several other standard energy ingredients. On the outside, the product is purely a novelty play: the bullet container feels cheesy, almost like a cliché. It's hard to imagine that many people will take this product seriously — so our bet is that it sells best with those who are trying to build up their collection of energy drink/shot containers. If they do want to be taken seriously, coming up with a less direct name (yes, it's shaped like a bullet — but you don't need to call it .50 Cal) and losing the "warrior blend" (which only adds an extra vibe of corniness to the product) would be good places to start. Overall, what's inside the container isn't bad, but the bullet shaped container is something that will only sell for novelty and shock value.
