Original Unconventional Energy

Blutonium's "UnconventionalEnergy" (aka Blue Raspberry flavor) is a unique looking product, but it needs cleanup in a variety of places. First, the flavor. The company's marketing materials promise good taste, but the product, which is flavored with sucralose, has a sweetener aftertaste and a level of sweetness that is a bit too light for our liking. Packaging is our other issue. There's definitely some novelty and uniqueness to the test tube shape, but the label design is difficult to read, which is mainly the result of clutter and poor color choices. Plus, the package isn't overly practical once you remove it from the cardboard test tube display that the manufacturer uses to retail this product. The product has to be stood upside down on top of the cap, which, at least in our tests, resulted in leakage as the seal of the cap isn't very tight. Overall, a unique concept, but we think that it over promises and under delivers in its current state.
