BevNET Review: Orange Splash was another flavor of the Dog On It line that we liked. There's discernible orange flavor, while the use of sugar over HFCS gives the drink a light mouth feel and a clean finish. It's definitely an enjoyable product. Our other reason for labeling this flavor our favorite of the lineup is simply the intuitive nature of the "Orange Splash" name, which certainly has the potential to whet the consumer's appetite better than some of the other varieties. Packaging is simple and relatively attractive, with an 8 ounce bottle that is designed to keep consumption in check. Overall, this seems like a product that should satisfy the needs of parents and provide an enjoyable product/brand to the end user. Reviewed on: 8/14/2008

BevNET Review: Dog On It's Strawberry Lemonade is an all-natural, vitamin and juice fortified beverage designed for kids. Flavor has a good bit of sweetness and no tartness, which is good for a kids' drink. What's inside the bottle appears to be standard fare for premium kids drinks nowadays, including, added calcium, sugar instead of HFCS, and vitamins A, B, C, D, and E. However, we think it's the outside of the drink that really differentiates this product. Aside from using a multi-pack as the primary method of selling their 8 oz. bottle. That bottle size is designed to create portion control -- something that the big mainstream brands haven't yet done. In addition, the style of the brand, which feels a bit more hip than say a Welch's or Capri-Sun, could have appeal with the desired pre-teen crowd, although we think a bit more color intensity might help that aim. BevNET Review: While there's a bright burst of tangerine initially in this kiddie drink, there's also a fair component reminiscent of punch mix, likely from the fruit juice concentrate mix, none of which involves real tangerine juice. There's a fairly high level of sweetness, as well, although it's from sugar, not HFCS, which should make parents happy. It's hard to judge if kids will go for the small size -- the bottle and label are fairly pedestrian. Having a bit more "attitude" from the dog and type treatment might help. Reviewed on: 8/14/2008

BevNET Review: With a mild berry flavor and no acid to the aftertaste, this was one of our favorite flavors of the Dog On It! brand. We still think it's got a fairly standard mix of ingredients, but from a packaging standpoint this one is helped by a nice red color fading in on the bottle-sized label. We think kids could have fun with the name of the beverage, but the product is taking a risk that some consumers might be confused about its purpose. Reviewed on: 8/14/2008

BevNET Review: The flavor in Dog On It's Kiwi Watermelon variety once again shows the makers were discriminating in their ingredient choices -- it's got that great melted candy flavor that instantly makes kids ask for more. But that comes at a price -- there's high sugar content per fluid oz. and we worry they'll ask for two or three. That's a good thing for sellers, for marketers, etc., but it might eventually cause the gatekeepers -- i.e. parents -- to take another look at the product.
