Sicilian Orange

Product Type:Water: Enhanced; Container: 20 fl oz (600ml) plastic
BevNET Review: The first flavor we sampled was Sicilian Orange, mainly because the flavor itself sounded the most appealing of the bunch. The flavor itself is moderately sweet and almost tangerine like. It's good, but not overly natural, but then again, you can say the same for competing vitamin enhanced products. Organic certification is certainly a plus, but we'd probably switch the name up to something else. After all, Sicilian orange and the Rockies motif on the packaging don't really go together. On that note, let's talk about the packaging. It uses the stock "vitamin enhanced water" bottle, which is fine, but we don't get the connection of Eldorado and the Rockies. If this were a bottled water, it might make sense, but really it looks more like a functional beverage or juice, which doesn't benefit from this theme. That being said, we'd either change up the look or dial down the color so it looks more translucent. Overall, it's got nice taste, but doesn't really jump out at us.Reviewed on: 5/15/2008

Peach Mango

Product Type:Water: Enhanced; Container: 20 fl oz (600ml) plastic
BevNET Review: Following on the review of Sicilian Orange, Peach Mango was a bit more in line with what we'd expect from a brand named Eldorado Vitamin Charged Natural Spring Water. Specifically, the color of the fluid is lighter, as is the overall flavor profile of the drink. It actually feels like a closer cousin to a water product, but it still manages to impart discernable notes of peach and mango flavor. That's a good thing, seeing as the drink has 175 calories and 40 carbs per bottle. The organic certification is a big plus, but we're not convinced that the branding and design are where they need to be for this drink to jump out among the sea of competition. In our opinion, they can keep the formula the way that it is, but it needs a more hip appearance to play in the vitamin enhanced water category.Reviewed on: 5/15/2008

Dragonfruit

Product Type:Water: Enhanced; Container: 20 fl oz (600ml) plastic
BevNET Review: The taste of Eldorado's Dragonfruit is probably best described as that of a watered down fruit punch, which is probably a reasonable approach to a product that's intended to be a vitamin enhanced water beverage. It has a relatively light mouth feel, which helped by the use of organic evaporated cane juice, while there are some light vitamin notes to the drinks slightly sugary finish. Packaging is unique compared to Eldorado's typically modern style competition, but we're not really sure who exactly the Western themed drink will appeal to. Reviewed on: 5/15/2008

Black Raspberry

Product Type:Water: Enhanced; Container: 20 fl oz (600ml) plastic
BevNET Review: Of all the flavors in the line, this is definitely the most juice like. The flavor is sweet and has a grape like flavor, while the fluid is a dark red color. The result is something that simply doesn't feel credible as a vitamin enhanced water. What's unfortunate about this is that the flavor is actually quite enjoyable, but we think that the packaging and branding misrepresent what's inside the bottle. Reviewed on: 5/15/2008
