BevNET Review: For being a beverage that’s exclusively sweetened with sucralose, H7’s Lemon Lime formula is actually quite drinkable. Most likely, it’s the pairing of the acidic lime flavor, whole leaf aloe extract, and the saltiness of the added electrolytes that help hide the aftertaste of the sucralose. Either way, this is an exceptional tasting zero calorie beverage. From a positioning point of view, this drink needs some work. First, there’s the mix of organic (aloe leaf) and artificial (sucralose) – two things that are at odds with one another. Second, there’s the packaging, which is hard to read, drawing your eye to the massive H on the front panel. Further on that point, they’ve given it a tagline of “Formula 20,” which immediately makes us think of Vitaminwater’s “Formula 50.” Instead of this, we’d suggest offering some sort of explanation of why aloe belongs in a sports drink. Overall, love the taste, but the positioning of the product needs to be better.Reviewed on: 2/26/2009

BevNET Review: Much like the lemon lime, this product delivers a quality flavor that has little to no artificial sweetener aftertaste. Also like the other flavors, it contains organic aloe juice, which has been added for purposes that aren’t stated on the label. The same can be said for the name and tag line (“H7” and “H to the 7th Power”, respectively). In addition to making these things more intuitive, we think that the placement of “sugar free” should be front and center on the label. Overall, it’s got good taste and quenched our thirst, but the look of the outside will probably keep consumers from reaching for it.Reviewed on: 2/26/2009
