Jones - 24C Multi-Vitamin Enhanced Water

BevNET Review: Berry Pomegranate is certainly a marketable mixture -- and fortunately the flavor they've put behind it is pretty good. It doesn't really have a true pomegranate flavor, but as a berry flavored product they've done a good job. The product's mild berry flavor isn't overly tart or sweet, which makes it a mellow backdrop to the vitamin flavors in the finish. The purple and pink hued packaging is nice and we like the revamped design of the label.

BevNET Review: 24C's new packaging design is certainly better than the original effort, but we still think that their best shot at competing is with the taste -- because Cranberry Apple has a real depth of flavor that the category leader seems to lack. While it's a conventional blend, there's real balance between the cranberry and apple flavors, neither of which is so dialed-up that you forget it's an enhanced water. We'd definitely drink it again, and if Jones manages to find a competitive price point, others might, too.

BevNET Review: This tastes like a cross between lemonade and green Gatorade, with an added hint of freshness and vitamin flavor. It's a pleasant flavor and with the added note of vitamin flavor, we think it has credibility in terms of being a real functional product. As far as the packaging goes, we think Jones has done a decent job of giving this flavor an attractive look, especially with the shade of green used (it looks just like Gatorade). Overall, a refreshing product that's good looking as well.

BevNET Review: Again, a good tasting functional water -- the orange flavor is mild but fruity -- that has a clear difference against the competition. Our only concern is whether or not the "24c" brand will have meaning with the consumer. Unlike competing products, their message ("multi vitamin system") is rather understated, which, in the absence of clear positioning, might make this product seem more like a vitaminwater knockoff than it really is. Still, definitely worth a try.

BevNET Review: This is a not-all-that-fruity peach mango blend that smells great and isn't too sweet. It's good, but not overly innovative, with a taste that reminds us of competing products. The packaging is colorful and clean, with a black 24c logo on top of a larger white one that gives the product a hip, urban feeling. Overall, a nice tasting product with clean packaging.

BevNET Review: This was our least favorite flavor of the line, which is mainly due to the flavor not being on par with the others in the line. It's sweet and has a bland fruitiness to it, without any flavor in particular being discernible from the mix. In our opinion, the line has other similar (and better) flavors that it can live without this one. Alternatively, we'd punch up the "tropical" flavor (maybe some coconut?) and give it a makeover.
