Manufacturer's Brand Overview: [Edit]
Rudy Beverage, Inc.,founded by Rudy Ruettiger and Drew Carver to create a unique line of beverages higher in nutritional value but lower in sugar than existing brands, has developed two products: Rudy Flying Colors, catering to young children; and Rudy Revolution, a sports drink aimed at athletes across the board. A third product in this line will be Rudy Fortified, supplying vitamins and minerals, while utilizing unique antioxidants. The Company's goal is to create flavorful juice blends, some of which will incorporate the superior hydration capabilities of Eon Structured Water. The Rudy Beverage Group offers people the opportunity to make better choices for themselves and their children, maximizing proper hydration and minimizing sugar intake.

Citrus Slam
Category: Sports Drinks: Sports Drink; Packaging: 16 fl oz (473 ml) plastic
BevNET Review:
You could've knocked us over with a feather when we tried this: it's actually not bad. A low-sugar, kid-oriented sports drink, Rudy Revolution uses a mix of crystalline fructose and a touch of xylitol (a low-calorie sweetener) to make a light-tasting citrus drink with no aftertaste and a pleasant mouthfeel that doesn't have a lot of the salt texture associated with other sports drinks. The bottle, despite a potentially disastrous shrink-wrap of Rudy Ruettiger being lifted by fellow Notre Dame football players, is nevertheless fairly understated, albeit the milk-slammer style bottle is a bit flimsy. Still, we'd reach for it again, and at 100 calories in a bottle, we wouldn't mind our kids drinking it at all.

Fruit Punch Blast
Category: Sports Drinks: Sports Drink; Packaging: 16 fl oz (473 ml) plastic
BevNET Review:
Maybe not as much of a blast as the other Rudy products, but this kid-focused sports drink is still pretty good. It's an average-tasting sports drink with about 100 calories per bottle, a surprisingly crisp taste, and a moderate level of non-cloying sweetness. Not bad. Kids will like the red color; you might not.

Orange Lift
Category: Sports Drinks: Sports Drink; Packaging: 16 fl oz (473 ml) plastic
BevNET Review:
Again, this is a surprisingly good sports drink for one aimed at the juvenile market. It just doesn't overdo it; there's a hint of orange in the flavor, but mostly it's a pleasant, not-overly-sweet, juice drink that apparently comes with the required sports-drink style salts to make it hydrate a bit better. A surprisingly well-developed product, particularly for one that is so largely dependent on licensing for brand identification.

Blue Fuel
Category: Sports Drinks: Sports Drink; Packaging: 16 fl oz (473 ml) plastic
BevNET Review:
This is a berry version of a kids' sports drink and it doesn't seem to wash out the salt flavor as well as the other products in the Rudy line. That noted, it's still got an above-average taste and an understated, simple package. The big question: what does Rudy Ruettiger mean to the kids of today?
