BevNET Review: Of the lineup, this is the only flavor to use an ayurvedic herb as part of its name (Ayurveda is a traditional Indian system of medicine). Flavor wise, it’s not too far from the rest of the line, using a mild fruit-flavored base that would taste watered down if it were any lighter. There’s a decent peach flavor (from flavoring, not juice) that has tea notes from the added green tea. Otherwise, there’s certainly a note of something that we’d describe as “herbal”, but they aren’t flavors that we could identify (there’s added amalaki, Echinacea, tulsi, turmeric, basil, hibiscus, and nettle extracts). That’s fine by us. While the drink is called “Holistics,” it’s clearly aimed at the mainstream, so having a mild regimen of herbal ingredients and tea paired with enjoyable flavor seems like a good bet. Same goes for the outside, which uses a proprietary bottle and a label that’s been given a monkey theme. It’s certainly reminiscent of a certain Adina executive’s former life with a Lizard-themed brand – but with a modern, organically skewed vibe. However, we’re not convinced that the name “Amalaki” is going to help sell this flavor. Either it will confuse consumers – or simply become known as “Peach.” In any event, this is another enjoyable product from Adina Holistics.
