Indian Chai
Category: Tea: Alternative; Packaging: 8.5 fl oz glass
BevNET Review:
Adina's entry into the Chai market is a good one, with an authentic taste that's formulated using black tea from India. There's a subtle spice that's offset with a blend of milk and sugar, resulting in a mellow creamy flavor. Plus, the product drinks much more like a tea product than your typical syrupy chai. Packaging for this product is along the same lines as the RTD coffee products, which we think actually works better for the Chai variety. Simply put, the exotic art featured on the front of the label suits a chai product better than a coffee -- at least in the US market. Overall, a great product from Adina -- one of their best to date.

Ethiopian Iced Espresso
Category: Coffee: Espresso Based; Packaging: 8.5 fl oz (252 ml) glass
BevNET Review:
Unlike your typical beverage marketer, Adina isn't using the word "Ethiopian" to help its marketability. Instead, it's used to denote the fact that they use 100 percent fair trade Harrar Beans from Ethiopia. Fortunately, this extra effort has paid off well -- the product tastes great. It has a rich coffee flavor that's among the best in the category -- it's almost perfect in our opinion. As for the packaging, we have two small suggestions. First, make the wrap on top of the closure easier to open. Second, more prominently market the fact that there was some thought -- and a single source -- to the beans used in this product. Quality of the coffee is too often lost in these types of products, so if you have good stuff, why not hang your hat on it?

Mayan Iced Mocha
Category: Coffee: Coffee Based; Packaging: 8.5 fl oz (252 ml) glass
BevNET Review:
Mayan Mocha is our favorite flavor of Adina's organic Iced Coffee lineup. Like the other varieties, it features a pleasant brew of Guatemalan coffee that has been blended with low fat milk. And, as the name suggests, they've added bittersweet chocolate as well as dash of spice to the finish. The spice part is what seals the deal for us, making this one of our all-time favorite RTD iced coffee formulations. Packaging is good, but things are a bit tight on the front of the label. Our biggest concern is that it might look a bit too much like a Starbucks Frappuccino, which would certainly be a disservice to this stellar tasting product.

Sumatran Iced Vanilla Latte
Category: Coffee: Coffee Based; Packaging: 8.5 fl oz (252 ml) glass
BevNET Review:
Typically, we find that RTD vanilla latte beverages have an overpowering vanilla flavor relative to the amount of coffee. Fortunately, Adina is an exception to the norm, delivering a well balanced creation that includes distinguishable coffee and vanilla flavors. In addition, they take great pride in their coffee, sourcing this variety from the Indonesian Island of Sumatra's Gayo Cooperative. The fact that it's organic and low fat are also major pluses, giving the product some useful differentiation from the Starbucks products. On the other hand, packaging uses a familiar wrapped glass bottle, which certainly makes it blend in with other products in the category. Still, we think that Adina can win with taste and its wholesome image -- assuming consumers are willing to give it a try.
