The most recent flavor of NutriSoda is also the first soda to contain soluble fiber. That’s all well and good, but it has to taste good if consumers are going to consume this product. Fortunately, Renew’s watermelon and blueberry flavors are superb, with a pleasant aroma and an addictive fruity flavor. As far as functional sodas – or energy drinks – go, this product has a very clean finish with minimal aftertaste, despite using an artificial sweetener (sucralose). The added ingredients are a plus, but it’s anybody’s guess how successful a fiber-focused drink will do – particularly one that has only one gram of fiber, which is a fairly paltry amount. Lastly, the smart packaging is on par with the other flavors of the line, with a baby blue and pink theme that will likely skew towards female consumers. Overall, a worthy addition that might win over some consumers on its health claims -- but we’d keep drinking it for the fruity and refreshing taste.
