BevNET Review: This quality ginger ale features a very light ginger flavor with a very subtle fruit-like finish. It's very refreshing and old-fashioned in style. First brewed in Kentucky in 1926, this beverage is easy to drink and has become quite favorite of BevNET.com staff. In addition, the green packaging and nice looking label makes the old fashioned appearance complete. Definitely try this beverage.

I am from Ashland, a few hours north east of Winchester. Ale 8 flies off the shelves here. It is some amazing soda although it is best closer to Winchester.

Wish It Was Sold In Michigan

Ale-8-one is absolutely delicious. For the longest time, I thought I hated all ginger ale. This is because I grew up in Michigan, where Vernors is really popular, and I happen to hate Vernors. You see, Vernors has a harsh, spicy taste. Ale-8-One, on the other hand, is smooth and a little fruity. In a world where most soft drinks are overly sweet, Ale-8-One manages to have a nearly perfect balance of sweetness. The taste is very subtle and refreshing. I first tried it when a friend's dad brought him a case of it from Kentucky. I wasn't expecting much, but I was quite pleasantly surprised. Overall, it's amazing.

LOVE THIS STUFF!

I spend three to four months a year in Kentucky and the rest of the year suffering from Ale 8 withdrawal! This is great soda.

A Childhood Favorite

I love Ale-8. I'm from Winchester and my fondest memories are eating Fairview's Chili dogs and drinking Ale-8s in the local park with my mom. The greatest thing ever is when you go to store and get some that are half frozen. They end up with this soft semi-frozen slush at the top of them that is simply exquisite! Ale-8's often get mistaken for alcohol outside of the state. I know a lot of people who have gone on visits out of state and requested Ale-8 only to be asked why they were drinking in the middle of the day lol.

Loaded up...

When we go "HOME" to Ky., we never fail to load up on Ale-8 for our return trip. Needed to take a truck. Now am able to find at Kroger's in Madison, Al. Hoorah, Hoorah! And I thought giving up smoking was bad. Don't take away my Ale-8 noooooooo...

Ale-8 awesome

I would never believe I would try to hunt down a soft drink. Went to see my daughter climb outside of Slade and she introduced me to Ale-8. Awesome drink. Awesome bottle. I can't believe I'm ordering this stuff online. There is NOTHING else like it on the market. Someday, when I feel like wasting a bottle, I've gotta try using it as a mixer too.

Even in Canada

I grew up in Ky, in powell co and this is about the only thing I would drink. Lived in FL for a couple years while in the navy and hated that I couldn't get it. Had a case of cans sent down but needless to say...Now, living in Canada, I hadn't had the stuff for over 4 years, until now. My mother had some sent directly from the bottling plant. Bottles and cans. AFter the first cold drink from that gorgeous green bottle, I was in heaven. Greatest thing ever.

ALE8

I live in Harvest, AL was born in Lexington but lived in Whinchester GOD THIS IS STILL MY FAVORITE SODA!!!!! and we bugged a few stores around here and now we don't have to go to KY to get it anymore all we have to do is go to the kroger's in huntsville ^_^ but there are only the non-refillable bottles which yeah they are good, but the returnables are the best also what u guys should try is puttin one in the frezzer for about 5-15 mins it makes it slush like and more intense of a flavor
